Introduction and History

We offer Laser Printer repair and Managed Print Services.  Specializing in Hewlett Packard and Lexmark brands.  TODD HOSKINS SERVICE SPECIALISTS was established in 1982.

My personal background is this.
1.I graduated from NIU in 1976 with a BS in business.
2.The many accounting, business, human resources classes I took prepared me well for the business world I was entering.
3.I was hired as a service technician for IBM shortly after.
4.Started business 5/1/82.
5.Many of our early customers are still with us.  According to my records, Rexnord first used us for service in the year we opened, 1982.  That’s 27 years ago.
My company has performed the following services for our customers.
1.Repair of laser printers, dot matrix printers and other document for the personal computer environment starting 1990.  We currently have a service base of thousands of Hewlett Packard and Lexmark laser printers.
2.In our early years, before the PC era, we maintained a service base of 4-5 thousand typewriters and advanced word processing equipment in Milwaukee area.
3.Service of network and stand-alone dictating equipment.
4.Repair of telephone based data terminal equipment before personal computers.
5.Repair of hammer bank line and laser type printers for mainframe environment.
6.Support of micr (magnetic image character reader) type financial printers.
7.Support of high speed duplex scsi based scanners and  “Jukebox” platter type electronic document storage devices.  Support of desktop scanners as well.
8.Support of tape type HP storage columns
9.Support of mainframe terminal equipment, then pc based, Nexis Lexis legal and medical subscription based proprietary research databases.
10.On site warranty and out of warranty repair for Compaq, Dell, Canon and other PCs, including workstations, servers and laptops. 
11.Support of IMAGEWARE digital mapping systems installed in Milwaukee and other police departments for digital mapping of felon facial features for law enforcement purposes.
12.Dispatch, follow up and closure of on-site service events on printers, computers and other equipment for over 75 service technicians in 8 different states.  Handled as many as 80 calls per week.
13.Supplied service personnel for copier repair for Xerox when they were opening a new, low end product line.
14.Installed data network cabling in several facilities including hospitals, nursing homes, and businesses.  Included pulling cable, trenching, install jacks, testing.
15.Have done extensive 24X7 point of sale (pc system and cash register), for Amoco, Einstein Bagels, Marcus theaters and others.  These were DSL and satellite based systems.
16.For customers we have done some odd things such as fix exercise equipment and an electron microscope!
17.Repair of medication dispensing robotics for pharmacies and hospitals.
